KinderNest.kids is a childcare management application being built for family childcare providers, starting with providers in Minnesota. Our goal is simple: help providers spend less time fighting paperwork, spreadsheets, reminders, and scattered records, and more time caring for children.
KinderNest.kids is designed to help providers track important day-to-day information such as child attendance, schedules, age-group counts, authorized pickup and drop-off contacts, parent and guardian communication, meals, bottles, incidents, and care-related records.
Who we serve
KinderNest.kids is intended for licensed childcare providers who need a secure, organized way to manage childcare records and communication. Our first focus is Minnesota family childcare providers, with future expansion possible as the system matures.
Why we are building this
Childcare providers carry a heavy load. They care for children, communicate with families, track licensing-related details, manage schedules, document incidents, monitor attendance, and keep records that may be needed later. That is a lot to manage.
KinderNest.kids exists to reduce that burden without taking control away from the provider. The provider remains responsible for their business, their records, their families, and their licensing obligations. Our job is to provide tools that make that work easier, clearer, and more secure.
Our approach
- Plainspoken: Providers should not need to be technology experts to use it.
- Secure by design: Personal information about children and families must be treated with serious care.
- Provider-centered: The provider owns the relationship with the families they serve.
- Honest about limitations: Software should not pretend to replace professional judgment, licensing guidance, or legal advice.
- Built carefully: KinderNest.kids is being developed in stages, with feedback from real providers before full public release.
Current status
KinderNest.kids is currently in development and early testing. During beta testing, features may change, data structures may be updated, and some areas of the system may be revised based on provider feedback.
Beta testers should not treat the system as their only official recordkeeping method until the product has completed testing and is ready for production use.
